Win a Free Photoshoot Contest June 2012

Win a Free Photoshoot and submit your photo. Tag your friends. Have your friends become our fan and ‘Like’ your photo. Each ‘Like’ counts for one vote. The image with the most votes wins! You can be the very lucky winner of a portrait, fashion, editorial or glamour photoshoot with photographer Joseph Philbert. Keep reading to see if you want to take part! The basic idea is fairly simple: All you have to do is upload an image and fill out the form. Additional prizes will be given to runners-up.  (all ages and genders welcome to apply!) Become our Facebook fan!

RULES – how to participate..

1. Once you have completed the form and press submit then you can click to upload the image. (If you skip this setup you forfeit the contest)

2. The image submitted must be a photograph of the person hoping to win the contest. Submitted images that is provided by the contestant must be a photograph of themselves or submitted on behalf of someone they manage or are the caretaker for. If the person is underage they must have consent from their parent or guardian. If the photograph is submitted by a manager they must have consent and provide that consent from the person who it is will be entering the contest.

3. Pictures can be submitted from Monday June 11th, 2012 at 12:01:00 AM EST until June 17th, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST. (Exactly 1 weeks, less 1 hour) for submissions. The contest will be open for voting during the time submissions will be taken, new contestants can still submit images to take part in the contest during that time, however they will not have the same head start that competitors have who submitted during the first few days of pre-submissions.

4. All pictures will be posted automatically to the FANPAGE album on Philbert Photography Facebook  called “Photoshoot Contest June 2012”. All photos that do not follow image guidelines will be removed, duplicate images will also me removed.

5. Contestants album can have their friends Vote on their picture by “Like”ing the picture. The picture with the most “Likes” by the end of the contest will be the winner of the photoshoot giveaway.

6. Contestants can “Share” the link to their photo on their Facebook walls, but putting a link to the Philbert Photography Facebook and directing them to the appropriate folder would be in their best benefits so they can have their friends vote (“like”) directly on the contestant’s photo in the “Photoshoot Contest June 2012” album.

7. Votes that are outside of the “Photoshoot Contest June 2012” album will not be counted, and thus, do not qualify. It is the contestant’s obligation to make sure their friends are voting in the appropriate location.

8. The winner will be announced June 18th 2012  at 8PM EST.

REGULATIONS  - the specifics of the photoshoot

1.  Winner of the photoshoot giveaway can live anywhere in the world, however, they must find their own way to the photoshoot which will be in VA, MD, DC or in our lorton, VA studio.

• Minimum number of likes/votes = 10
• In the case of a tie:
• Maximum Distance: 30 miles from Alexandria, VA. If the location is further than the 50 mile limit, travel cost will apply at $0.15 per mile both directions and will be due at the time of the photoshoot.
• If the location of your photoshoot charges any type of entry fee or photography fee, it is the responsibility of the winner to pay all fees for all members of the photoshoot including the photographer. The winner is not responsible to pay this fee for the photographers assistant/s.
• If the winner would like the photoshoot to be done in a studio (plain background) such as for a fashion shoot, I have access to a studio Lorton, VA at no extra cost. Travel to the location is the responsibility of the winner.
• It is highly recommended that prints are NOT made from the low resolution files that are given for three reasons: 1. My logo will be on them. 2. The quality is fine for the internet but terrible for prints. 3. The place you go to print them will be color calibrated differently than the print company I use and can result in strange results.
• I reserve the right to use any of the images for my portfolio in any form I choose. This includes but is not limited to: My webpage, My Social networking sites, any printed materials, any other photo portfolio websites I belong to.
• Images MUST FOLLOW FACEBOOK GUIDELINES! (no nudes) Headshots are the best.

2.  Photoshoot must be scheduled within 1 month (30 days) of the contest completion date when the winner is announced. If the winner doesn’t schedule a date with the photographer within that time, the prize will be forfeited and the next runner up will be awarded the photoshoot.

3. Photoshoot must take place / be redeemed within a year of the contest completion date, on a mutually agreed date and time. The location of the photoshoot will be determined by the photographer. (of course, mutually agreed upon locations are allowed)
Set design / backgrounds, are to be determined by the photographer. Again, mutually agreed upon sets, locations, concepts are allowed).
Photoshoot is limited to a 2 hour block of time.

4. Winner will be provided with 2 fully edited print worthy digital files at any size they request.** Files will be given either via digital transfer (email, dropbox, etc) or via CD which can be picked up at a mutually agreeable time.
The winner of the contest will be able to print*** their photos wherever they choose, however, if they would like to know where to go to get beautiful professional quality prints of their photographs, recommendations can be made.

5. Creative licences and copyright of the images photographed will be owned, and are sole property of the photographer, Joseph Philbert.
If images are to be used for advertising purposes, or for the winner to make money off of, that will have to be discussed with the photographer first and the winner will have to purchase the rights to the photograph. (examples of this would be CD covers, clothing, products for sale, etc.)

6. The contest winner will be provided Makeup Artist  [No hair stylist or wardrobe styling]. We have very talented artists can be recommended if the winner is hoping to obtain such services.

Fine Print
*if the winner should not be able to travel to DMV Area, they will be able to redeem their photoshoot by arranging for the photographer, Joseph Philbert, and photography assistant, to fly to the winner’s location. Return flight must be provided as well.
**winner of the photoshoot can request their digital files are provided to them at specific sizes, however the winner must be able to provide the sizes before the photographer, Josep Philbert has finished editing the photos and they will only be able to request photos in 3 different sizes.
***prints can be provided by photographer, Joseph Philbert, and are available at a very reasonable rate.

TIPS TO GET VOTES (misc found online):

1. Have your friends and family help you by not only voting for you but by also getting their friends and families to vote for you.
2. Offer to give something in return for votes.
3. Advertise in any groups or forums you belong to
